Discover the artistry of the body and groove out through an eclectic mix of dance styles. Work with a variety of movement techniques, from Israeli Gaga to Japanese Butoh, then develop your own choreography with Mira. She’ll also be your inside guide to Brussel’s thriving underground arts scene.
Mira is a contemporary dancer and performer who has trained in a variety of styles, including ballet, jazz, capoeira, contemporary, theater, circus, and Balkan folk dances. While she now focuses on contemporary dance, she loves mixing and matching elements of different dance styles in her work. Mira also enjoys working across art forms, often developing highly creative collaborations with classical musicians, circus performers, and more. In juxtaposing unlikely artistic combinations that center around her interest in movement and the human body, Mira produces work that is truly unique and unexpected. Be sure to ask for a few tips on folk dances from her native Bulgaria!

Brussels is well known for its world-class chocolate, beer, and "frites" (where they were invented). Between medieval squares, gorgeous parks and cutting-edge art and music venues, you'll have plenty to explore between dance sessions. Some must-sees are the Comic Book Route, with over 50 murals paying tribute to famous Belgian comic artists, the Atomium, an unavoidable icon of the city hosting various exhibitions, and of course, Charleroi Danses performances housed in The Refinery.
