Meet the Artist

Deb Bartos is an oil painter who captures the beauty of the natural world with vibrant colors and a deep understanding of light and color. With years of experience teaching art appreciation and painting, Deb has developed a passion for sharing her knowledge with people of all levels, from beginners to advanced. She is well-versed in the area and participates in many juried shows and plein air events.

Deb is fascinated by the interplay of light and color in nature and continues to learn from other artists who share her love of capturing the true colors of nature. She paints on-site, as it provides her with the information she needs to create a painting that captures the essence of a place. Using water-soluble oils, Deb is able to work quickly and easily while also adhering to a non-toxic approach to painting.

Her paintings are a testament to her commitment to the Native American path of "Walking in Beauty." Living just miles from the Garden of the Gods Park, she invites painters and non-painters alike to experience the joy of painting on location.
