Meet the Artist
With a deep passion for theatrical improvisation, Gigio has been a pioneer of improv in Colombia, Peru and Puerto Rico. Rather than simply working with actors, he loves developing new artistic processes in the performing arts to help stimulate personal growth in anyone keen to try. In addition to improv, he also adores clowning. After all, as Gigio says, "The most noble art is to make others happy." Now he teaches and shares this passion with people from different parts of the world, helping others develop their own form of creative expression through performance.
VAWAA Includes:
- Learn the basics of improv and clowning, with particular focus on one or the other depending on your interest.
- Practice and participate with local theater and improv groups.
- Build a "Contra vestido" for your clown character.
- Participate in a scenic show in the company of local actors, depending on schedule.
- Visit local clown festivals and performances, depending on schedule.
Explore Bogotá
Surrounded by the lush Andes Mountains, Bogotá is a city with a very dynamic and varied cultural activity, with festivals, music, theater, dance, and more. Not to mention some truly exciting food. Sample ants sold at roadside stalls, try some of the exotic fruit grown year round, or sip a cup of coffee ground from beans produced in the nearby coffee region.
Additional Details
Gigio will provide a complimentary lunch at his home with his family. This VAWAA is available for a longer duration and can also be taught in Lima, Peru. Let us know if interested and we will do our best to accommodate you.
