Meet the Artist

Inés is a master weaver and experimental textile artist with over 30 years of experience, and a recipient of Spain’s prestigious National Craftsmanship Award. Inspired by the cobblestone streets and green hills of her medieval hometown, she works from a three-story studio where she merges traditional weaving with elements of design, architecture, and painting—expanding the language of textiles into spatial and conceptual forms.

Rooted in ancient Galician techniques like gorullo weaving, rosepath, and block design, Inés experiments with embroidery, natural dyes, optical fibers, milk proteins, and nanomaterials like gold and graphene to create richly textured tapestries. She works exclusively with natural, biodegradable fibers such as linen, wool, and silk, producing one-of-a-kind pieces for interiors and installations that honor the beauty and integrity of their materials.

Inés welcomes you into her world of weaving to explore the intersection of tradition and innovation, and rediscover the joy of making with your hands.
