Improv or the Challenge of Freedom: Games and Exercises

Theater improv is known to boost confidence, improve quicker reaction and spontaneity, help flexibility, and build camaraderie & teamwork. Join VAWAA Artist and improv pioneer Gigio for an interactive session on Saturday, May 16, at 1:00 PM EDT. Through dynamic exercises and fun games, we'll learn, listen and practice the four basic stages of improvisation techniques: 1. training, 2. listening and response, 3. yes and adaptation, and 4. complicity and teamwork. The only requirements are availability and willingness to play!

About Gigio

With a deep passion for theatrical improvisation, Gigio has been a pioneer of improv in Colombia, Peru and Puerto Rico. Rather than simply working with actors, he loves developing new artistic processes in the performing arts to help stimulate personal growth in anyone keen to try. In addition to improv, he also adores clowning. After all, as Gigio says, "The most noble art is to make others happy." Now he teaches and shares this passion with people from different parts of the world, helping others develop their own form of creative expression through performance.
