For my 60th birthday, I wanted to do something special that aligned with my passion for ceramics. I’ve been working with ceramics intermittently for several years and have been eager to collaborate with someone to enhance my skills. Maria’s captivating shapes and exquisite craftsmanship truly captivated me, and I was determined to learn how to create similar pieces. Therefore, I decided to enroll in a class with her. The opportunity to work with Maria, the renowned sculptor of beautiful vases in Athens, felt like a once-in-a-lifetime chance for me. I was hopeful that this experience would allow me to acquire new techniques and expand my skill set, which it certainly did.  

My time with Maria exceeded my expectations. I swiftly transitioned from creating pinch pots to crafting a large sculptural vase. I didn’t anticipate this transformation, but it did occur. I now feel more confident in my skills and capable of making larger pieces. I am filled with inspiration to apply what I’ve learned to my creative practice.
