Initially, my friend and I had no idea VAWAA existed. I happened to stumble upon the website when we were stuck trying to figure out what country we wanted to visit. VAWAA was like a gift from the universe dropped on our lap for us so we could FINALLY come to a decision. We looked through the whole website with everything offered catching our attention because we simply wanted to “make/learn something cool” and landed on glass engraving.  

In the end, I would say we did learn and make something cool, both walking away with 2 glasses, which getting them back home was an adventure in itself. But we also gained wonderful experiences and memories from our VAWAA. We learned from a master of their craft, struggled to get a grasp of our designs, celebrated together when we made even the smallest progress, had insightful conversations over different ideas, and overall enjoyed spending time together creating and doing something new. Even outside the studio we experienced the stunning nature around Austria, tried fresh local cuisine, and met some adorable animals.
