France > > > with Myrto in Greece
I know an artist in France who is one of the VAWAA artists, and that's how I learned about the organization last year. Since then I have been going through the website and dreaming about taking a creative trip like this. I started doing ceramics last year (to get me away from my work laptop and the news) and felt like I had reached a point where I craved some individual attention and learning. It's been more than 30 years since I have been in Athens, and I was inspired in reading Myrto's bio and seeing her work online, and it clicked that this was the right time, the right place, and the right artist to move my ceramics practice further forward.
I learned so much about the technical/scientific aspect of ceramics, which has made me curious to learn more. But having a chance to see Myrto's artistic choices was also very interesting to me, and our discussions about that, and about how her practice has developed and evolved over time, is helping me to put my own creative life in perspective. Thank you!
