I love exploring the world through art, and connecting with a local artist felt like a special way to do that.
My time with Diana yielded both immediate artistic growth and a lasting shift in perspective. Beyond gaining a far deeper appreciation for Peruvian art and culture, I returned home with tangible new skills—from mastering nuanced watercolor layering to approaching color mixing with greater intention. In just four days, Diana gave me countless creative threads that I will be pulling for years to come, raising fundamental questions that will continue to shape my studio work.
Equally meaningful were the daily memories: quiet, focused hours painting alongside her in the studio, paired with walks through her beautiful neighborhood and warm evenings with Nolan and their wonderful animals. It was the perfect blend of technical grounding, cultural immersion, and inspiration that will serve my practice long into the future.
