What a wonderful experience! Artemio and his family, friends, employees, even the dogs and donkeys, all welcomed me and made me feel at home. I arrived knowing nothing about printmaking and without a clear idea of what I should do. Between his incredible library and the beautiful surroundings, I soon had plenty of inspiration. Artemio made the process approachable and encouraged me to continue exploring linocut back at home. I left excited by creative possibility. Artemio and Silvia introduced me to local artists and shared with me some of the history of the area. Patzcuaro is a beautiful and fascinating place and I’m so grateful to them for helping me to experience it.
