I love working with water, as an artist and a swimmer.  So when I discovered Ebru painting with Silvia, and was planning a swim across the Bosphorus, I knew I had to sign up with VAWAA.  I ended up having to wait to work with Silvia, but it was sooooo worth it!  I was drawn to her contemporary approach to this traditional art and wanted a teacher who would allow me to experiment.  

Silvia was so open and encouraging.  I learned so much and gained confidence in my abilities.  It is a real turning point in my artistic development.  Silvia helped me buy supplies and I look forward to setting up my own studio in Brussels to continue working and growing as an Ebru artist myself.  I look forward to the next time I can return to Istanbul and see Silvia again!
