Nives is incredibly kind and welcoming, and she creates such a relaxed and inspiring atmosphere. She treated me to delicious snacks and food, which made me feel incredibly welcome and well taken care of. She was also very generous in sharing her knowledge, tips, and techniques throughout the VAWAA. What I especially appreciated is how she really tunes into your individual wishes and questions, making the experience feel very personal and tailored. During the VAWAA I created two small artworks using different techniques, which made it both fun and really educational. What I appreciated most was having the time and space to create again – something we don’t often give ourselves. It felt special and grounding, and it gave me a great foundation and inspiration to continue working with paper mâché at home. Her studio is in a beautiful neighborhood, just steps away from the sea, and the whole place truly breathes art. And Split itself is such a wonderful city – the perfect backdrop for a creative experience like this.
