In retirement I am looking to continue to grow and learn. Through this VAWAA I was able to combine my love of Japan with learning a traditional skill in a beautiful remote part of the country side.

My ikigai is to support and practice the Japanese traditional crafts of pottery and wood carving. Training my eye and working with tactile materials will continue to keep me engaged with the natural world.
