For me, a VAWAA is so much more than a holiday. As a solo traveler, this concept feels perfect — it gives me the chance to learn, to create, and to connect in a meaningful way. What made this experience truly special were the conversations with Helmut and Ulrike. They are such intelligent, thoughtful people, and I loved hearing their stories. I admire the way they live their lives — the huge renovation of their beautiful house, the life experience they bring to the table, and the genuine interest they showed in me.

Ulrike also has an impressive knowledge of the area. She showed me the best bike route to their studio and even suggested a wonderful route and things to do for after my stay. That kind of care and local insight made the whole experience feel even more personal and enriching. This combination of creativity, hospitality, and human connection is exactly what I was hoping to find, and it made my time with them unforgettable.

This experience didn’t just give me two beautiful lights — it gave me a spark of confidence and a big dose of creative joy. All of this has inspired me to keep exploring creative projects in the future. I’m leaving with new skills, new ideas, and a very happy feeling that I tried something completely different and loved it.
