I wanted to learn from the art/design of a different culture and to have extended, bespoke teaching from a master artist. The teaching addressed where I was getting 'stuck' and gave me strategies and techniques to improve my practice. Being in a different country with different culture and design styles opened my mind and gave me more creative ideas.
